Find and Replace Italics

Dear all,

I am using Word 2007 to write a long document in English. Suppose there is a
film title such as 'Star Wars' or a non-English phrase, which I have used 100
times and forgot to put in italics, I know I can use find 'Star Wars' and
then italicise each instance one at a time (which will take forever) but is
there any command to say

find all instances of [Star Wars] and replace with [Star Wars in italics]?

Hit Ctrl+H. Type in "Star Wars" without quotation marks; then, in the
next field, type in Star Wars again. Then, if you see a button that
says More at the bottom, click it. Next, look for the button that says
Format. Select the Font option, then in the Font Style selection,
select Italics.

Click on the OK button. You can now click on Replace if you want to
test it on the first instance Word finds, or if you are feeling lucky,
just hit Replace All. That should do it.

3. In the "Replace with" box type "Star Wars" or ^& (the code that stands
for "Find What Text," i.e., what you were searching for).

4. With the insertion point still in the "Replace with" box, press Ctrl+I.
You'll see "Format: Font: Italic" under the box.

5. Replace All.

Use the replace function - CTRL + h - to find Star Wars then replace with ^&
(the found text) then with the cursor in the replace box click CTRL + i
(italics) or click the More button and Format > Font > Italics.

One more thing to keep in mind. I just realized (looking at the
solution) that Word 2002 at least, remembers the formatting that you
have selected the next time you use Ctrl+H (Find and Replace) command.
So if you are trying to format a LOT of phrases the same way (with
Italics), this isn't going to be a problem. But you need to realize
that after placing every instance of Star Wars in italics, the next
time you use the command, it will be set to put the next words you are
trying to replace, into italics as well--even without your trying to
tell it to. Shutting down Word will eliminate this formatting, but if
you don’t close down Word it will still think you want italics.
Just a word to the wise.
