Find and Replace only works for a few thousand records then stops

Hi - I'm trying to do a find and replace on a simple table (that I imported
content from a .csv file) ... however, it get's so far and then gives me this
error:

"You can't replace the current value of the field with the replacement text."

So, if I start it up again - it will work for a few more thousand records
then stop and give the same error.

Anyone?

Maybe text in a number field or decimal number in an interger field.

All fields are data type "Text". And I'm limiting my search to just one
column at a time - but still same error. Very frustrating.
