find and replace "word 2002" via "visual basic" too slowly

hi,
i have a programm code in Visual basic, which call word 2002 for finding and
replace. but it is definitly too slowly(45 sec.). how kann i do it faster?
the same code works as a macro wittin word 2002 faster(5sec.).

THis Problem appears also in word 2003.
