Hey
I am using outlook express, I recived mail with an excel file as
attachment
I open the file and edit it, instead of saving the file in a known
place I just click "save" and it was saved somewhere on the hard disk
now I cant find the update file.
I open different file and press save as I saw that the path that it was
going to save in was:
c:\document and setting\username\local setting\temporary internet
file\content.IE5\

I tried to go there in the explore but I dont have directory called
content.IE5 and I cant find the file

please help we to recover the lost file

Try looking in the temporary internet files directory, i.e. one folder up
from content.IE5 (which doesn't show separately for the logged on user).
Alternatively do a Windows search for *.xls with date parameters for when
you saved the file and make sure that "Search System folders" and "search
hidden files and folders" are both ticked under More Advanced Options.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup like
