Find feature

The past few days me and a co-worker are having trouble with the find feature
(CTRL+F) it will work once and then the next time around it locks up and
crashes Word. It has done it the past few days and on more than one document
and on two different computers-any suggestions on how to fix. We have
restarted both computers. These computers are linked by a network.
