Find in Mail Merge Data Source

I have a Data Source that I have gotten the find to work
once but ofter that it does not work. I would like to find
company names that I would like to merge with my main
document but it will not allow me to do a find. Does
anyone know a solution to doing multiple finds in a data
source in Word 2002?
