Find menu is disabled for a fixed document!

I had a corrupted DOC file and I had successfully 'recovered' it using a
third party tool (R-Word by name). The contents are good. But there is a
small problem - when open in Word, the Find menu item under Edit menu is
disabled and I cannot do Find action (CTRL+F does not work).

Does anyone ever have the same problem?

Apparently it isn't fixed as well as you thought? Try open & repair from the
file open dialog - or copy and paste the content into a new document.
