Hi All,
I've got an Access 2000 database running on a Windows 2003 SP2 server. Each
night a script runs, via a Scheduled Task, to grab data from a Progress
database and drops it into the Access database. Last night the process ran
into an error I've not seen before, indicating that one of the target tables
in Access is locked by the Admin user on the server. The Scheduled Task
runs as Admin, so this makes sense, but I can't determine what process
actually has the database locked. A lock file is there and when I look at
it, it shows that Admin is logged into the database. JetUser Roster shows
the same information. However, the Access process is not running in Task
Manager, I can't get the lock to go away by opening/closing the database,
and I can't update the table manually. wscript.exe Runs when the script
runs (and it's not there) so there must be something that I'm missing. I
have a good backup and the Access database is only used for lookups for an
imaging system, so I'm not concerned with killing whatever has the table
locked in an unusual fashion.
Any help is appreciated.
