Find/Replace in Footer on multiple documents

I have folders with hundreds of documents and routinely change the
Footer within each document. I want to automate this tedious process.
Each document already contains the Footer and I'd like to Find and
Replace 2 lines of text with other text.

Anyone know how to accomplish this? Word 2000 or XP with a Novice user.
Would this require learning Macros or VB or can I handle this?

Thanks.

Doug,

Thanks, that sounds like exactly what I need. Now, I just need to learn
how to do it. I know nothing about VB, but will now start learning.
Any idea where I should start. I'm a good pc user, but no programming
knowledge at all. Thanks again.

Take a look at some of the other information on that site, particularly
