Find/Replace of Text Inside Classes

Hello,

I have a large database model in Visio and I am trying to make a single
change to an attribute that is in many classes. I have attempted to do a
simple find/replace using the Replace tool. If I click the "Replace All"
button, it will simply display a window that says Visio has finished
searching the page. If I just do a single replace, I get a window saying
"Shape protection and/or layer properties prevent complete execution of this
command." After reading up on this message, I tried turning off all of the
protections under the format menu. I am still getting this message. It would
be tedious to say the least to go through and make each one of these changes
individually. Anyone have any ideas?

to make protection "off" you must select each object and set protection to
"none"

so select "all", then set protection to none....done page by page
