I am vexed by a strange problem with Find and Replace in Word 2003 in a
legal document (Interrogatories or "rogs"). I can find the text paragraph I
want and change its style, with (using the first few words plus* and ^13)
and without wildcards (using the exact text--it's a very short paragraph but
repeated about 140 times!). The problem is that the style for the following
paragraph--which is not part of the search/find, is also changed. What am I
doing wrong? Is my document corrupted?
Here's the gist of the document. The lines are numbered here for reference
only but not in the document:
Line 1: INTERROGATORY NO. 1 [style: Rog Label]
Line 2: Blah blah--Text of Interrogatory No. 1 [style: Rog]
Linie 3: ANSWER: XXX [style: Rog Label]
Line 4: INTERROGATORY NO. 2 [style: Rog Label]
Line 5: Blah blah--Text of Interrogatory No. 2 [style: Rog]
Line 6: ANSWER: XXX [style: Rog Label]
Line 7: INTERROGATORY NO. 3 [style: Rog Label]
Line 2: Blah blah--Text of Interrogatory No. 3 [style: Rog]
and so forth for about 140 questions or rogs
