Find/Replace tool is questionable

Hello all:
The Find/Replace tool isn't working correctly. Here's
what I'm doing:

1. Search for the word "Melim", and the tool can find it.
2. Re-sort the table by a different field, search
for "Melim" and Access says that 'melim' not found.
(Nothing has changed on the Find tool dialog.)
3. Insert my cursor half way down the table (total
records=2500), and the Find tool can find it...

The tool is set up to Look In the whole table and Match
any part of the field, searching all the records with NO
case match.

Any insight as for a description of the problem and/or a
solution would be much appreciated.
