Find & Replace

Each text box ends with the symbol (I believe it is a currency symbol) which
I would like to find & replace with my own end of article symbol.
I know how to use ^p and ^? etc. but don't know the (tool) for this end of
article symbol. Then next is how do I insert my own character. (I would like
to use something like a piece of clip art, let's say a bird which I have in
clip art organizer.
Thanks

Turn off special characters. (¶) You can put any symbol you want at the end of
your paragraphs.
Special characters are non-printing symbols.

Thanks for your help Mary,
I have a little graphic jpeg I'd like to use, any way I can add this to the
symbol list?

Don't think so, symbols are fonts... You can re-size the .jpg to small, bring to
the front, no-wrap (dog icon, none). The image will work as a symbol. Hopefully
it won't lose definition.
If you have 2007 you can add the .jpg symbol to the Content Library, it will
always be available for you in other documents.
