i am trying to update my office 2000 I have a pre-loaded version the service
pack 3 hangs looking for the above file. where is it?

Downlaod Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from MS website.

It will remove Office Installer settings and allow a repair install READ
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY to preserve data.

Just repaired mine today.
