findfast.exe

I use office 2000 on ME with zonelab and MacAfee for
protection. Also use Pest Patrol. I have been experiencing
a ZL window popping up requesting subject file trying to
access the internet on it's own. I have denied access
because I do not understand why subject is trying to
access net on its own. Could this be normal or has
something attached itself using findfast.exe to accomplish
something devious? Thanks for any help or explaination.

It's probably legitimate behavior, but there shouldn't be any harm in
blocking it either.
