Findfast in Microsoft office

Bill

Somehow I lost the ms09.dll file from my Microsoft 97
office. I tried Norton file restoration but the file
seems to be permanently lost. Can I restore this file or
re-install Findfast from the Office 97 installation
disks. I have the oem cd/rom disks supplied with my
computer.

Micron computer
Windows 98 sp1 operating system

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bill,

The file name would be mso9.dll rather than ms09.dll
It's the main file of the MS Office suite (basically
nothing in Office would run without it).

If the FindFast applet isn't available in the Windows
Control panel you can install it from the Office 97 CD.

To install FindFast use Add/Remove Programs in the Win98
Control Panel, place your Office 97 CD in the drive
and double click on the Microsoft Office 97 choice.

Thanks Bob
I was able to restore FindFast from the OEM disk but did not find
mso9.dll. The version I restored was dated 1997 and the one with the missing
dll was dated 1999. I am not sure where it came from. Office seems to work
properly, I can access Word, Excell etc. If someone has an idea when
FastFind.exe please let me know.

Bill
