Finding answers to my posts

I'm surprised you guys haven't thought of this in all these years, but there
seems to be no easy way to find one's posts. I have posted a few questions in
recent weeks and the only way there seems to be to look for them is to search
for some potential keywords from memory.

Isn't there a way to look them up by my login ID?

No.

They can be sorted by Date, which is the most logical. You can also sort
them by Subject. You can flag your messages, then set flagged messages and
the Reply to be listed first. If there are any new replies, the group will
be highlighted in red (the default color, but you can change it).

I forgot to mention, you can sort your messages by clicking the Heading at
the top of any column and sort by the contents of that column. So, if you
have the FROM column as one of those that is visible, then you can click the
column heading and the posts will be sorted by the Original Poster, then you
can scroll the list to your name to find the posts you originated, and then
view any responses you might have received.

A shortcoming of this is that the Orignator of discussions is the way the
sort works, so if you are a respondant, you can't find your posts this way.
If you are an originator, the reply will all be in Date order.

Whether this newsgroup is going away or not doesn't matter if one subscribes
to other newsgroups that are not going away. The question is relevent
whether it is covered here or elsewhere.

Maybe you should get a better newsgroup reader if you use Outlook Express
and are not happy with it.

There's a bunch of programs out there, some of them free and they have much
more features.

For Outlook Express it's as simple as sorting by From or Sent date.. takes 2
seconds to find a post of mine.
