finding emails in outlook taking too long? help with archiving

I look for certain emails on a regular basis using the "advanced find"
feature and typing in the senders address. But as my email database is
gettoing larger and larger it is taking much longer to search through the
emails, especially on the first search (seaches after that are a little bit
quicker).

I use the auto-archive feature to archive my email every month or so, and
move them to the folder "Archive Folders" but i dont think that it is doing
it, because everytime i look in the archive folder, it is empty?

Any help?

that's normal. You could try a 3rd party application that indexes Outlook
email or wait for Outlook 2007 with it's instant search.
