Finding my saved word doc?

R

This is my first real issue with OneNote. I opened a document saved in
OneNote. I then made a series of changes to the document. When I saved it,
it was not where to be found. The document in OneNote was the same and temp
directory shown in my recent document in word is gone.

Where did my document go? Should just redo the changes? How do I avoid this?

If you used the "Save As" command from Word then your file most likely
was saved to the temp directory. If it's not there and not in Word's
recent documents list, it's probably gone.
Also note that OneNote needs to be open for the entire time while you're
editing the embedded file. If you close or restart OneNote, it'll lose
the link to the working copy of the embedded file and any changes you
make from then on will not be saved back to OneNote.
