Finding paragraph marks with wildcards on

A

aj

I'm using Word 2004, and I need to do a search and replace where I need
to specify paragraph marks within the Find text. I also need to use
wildcards. The help files indicate that you can use "^13" to match a
paragraph mark when using wildcards, but I've found that this does not
work on the Mac version. Is there anyway to find paragraph marks when
using wildcards?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry, it's a bug in Word 2004. You will have to work around it:

1) Search for all paragraph marks (without wildcards)

2) Replace them with a marker -- e.g. <para>

Now, include your marker as part of your search string with wild cards.

Hope this helps

Thanks. That's what I ended up doing. I was hoping there'd be a more
elegant solution, but at least this works.

Thanks again.
