Finding & Selecting a Subgroup of Tasks

Hello All,

I am using Project 2003 (believe it or not). I am looking at
integrating within the schedule Issues and Risks and linking them to
tasks. All very straightforward.

eg:
Issues:
Issue 1
Issue 2
etc

What I would like to do is using VBA create a view specific to each
group; ie one for Issues, one for Risks, etc. A filter wouldn't work
unless I use a custom field to determine Task Type (normal task,
issue, risk, etc).

I could search the project for the keyword "issues" and then select
all the child tasks. I would like to avoid creating a new project
simply to create this view, hence, I am looking at somehow showing
just the subgroup without showing the rest of the project.

Any thoughts how this could be done?

Thanks and regards
Michael A.

Hi,

I generally solve tghis king of problem through a very simple filter
(Flag1=Yes) then through VBA setting Flag1 depending on the criteria (such
as summary task name contains Issues)

Hope this helps,
