finding total editing time?

Howard

I have a couple of hundred word files in a folder that form part of a
book review I have done. Is there a way I can find the total editing
time of all the files without manually looking at the properties of each
one and adding eachs one's edit time up on a calculator?

(I am competent in programming if need be)

See the article "Getting access to the Document Properties of a Word file"

or maybe a modification of the code in See the article "Find & ReplaceAll on
a batch of documents in the same folder" at:

http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BatchFR.htm

to access the Built-in Document Properties Collection of each of the
documents
