finding whether cell is referred to elsewhere

Does anyone know how to "follow" a particular cell to see
whether its contents are referred to by a formula in a
different part of the workbook? i.e., whether or not it's
safe to delete?

SMP,

On your menus:
View -> Toolbars -> Customize...
Under the Toolbars tab check off "Auditing"

This toolbar will provide you with what you need. Search
excel help for "Auditing" for a more detailed explanation
of the fuctionality of the tools. Post back if you need any
help.
