Finishing the application

M

Maracay

Hi guys,

I have been reading the board and I know that I can’t create and .exe file,
I need a developer version to do this; I created an access application and I
split
the data base, I am testing the system, I copied the application to 2
computers
they have access 2003 installed, but What I want is to do something nicer and
secure, I don’t want them to have access to the programs or forms, queries or
reports, there is a way to allow then to click just on the main form, and not
have access to the other forms.

I’ll really appreciate if someone can help me with this or show mw some web
sites where I can take the information

Thanks

Hi guys,

Correct. You can't.
I need a developer version to do this;

All the developer version will do is let you create a Runtime version of the
Access program which you can provide to users who do not have Access
installed. It does not change your database into an .exe or prevent someone
from opening it in their own copy of Access.
I created an access application and I
split
the data base, I am testing the system, I copied the application to 2
computers
they have access 2003 installed, but What I want is to do something nicer and
secure, I don’t want them to have access to the programs or forms, queries or
reports, there is a way to allow then to click just on the main form, and not
have access to the other forms.

Have you made the database into a .mde (or .accde, for 2007) file? If not, do
so; you should keep a copy of the original .mdb/.accdb file safe, for future
upgrades, and the user should only get the .mde/.accde.
I’ll really appreciate if someone can help me with this or show mw some web
sites where I can take the information
