In the second paragraph of this posting is a response to a posting from
Firegirl (dated May 10, 2006) about Outlook 2003 crashing after startup. I
am having the same problem on more than one computer and I think it would be
most helpful if someone, perhaps from Microsoft, would please post the exact
procedure, along with file names that Firegirl is speaking of.
"I am happy to say that after spending 2 hours on the phone w/MS the problem
is finally gone!!!!! According to MS sometimes the files Outlook uses become
corrupted when your virus/ad-aware programs scan them. We had to go into a
bunch of folders and also msconfig and rename a bunch of files and it fixed
the problem. If you want to know what files to rename let me know. I'm
somewhat computer literate, however I cannot exactly remember where I had to
navigate to in order to get to the files."
