First day of the Month

Hi All,

How can I get first day of the selected month (from given
date)

eg. if I enter 21/8/2003 in A1 i want to get 1/8/2003 in
B1

You can do this with a formula

=DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1),1)
or
=A1-DAY(A1)+1
