First letter missing on Subject Line

Why is the first letter of the Subject line of every outgoing message. Not
alot of info on this problem. I too have resorted to inserting a period
before sending. How can this be fixed. Any clues?

Zim, zim, ala bim, the spirits are about to speak. What? Huh? Uh,
okay. Nope, they can't see what version of Outlook you use, either.

So what anti-virus, anti-spam, or other anti-malware software do you
have running on your host? Tried disabling them yet?

Sorry bout that. 2003. Using Symantec. Turned off awhile ago as I read a
previous blog that that might be the problem. But alas, my first letter is
still missing any other ideas/possibilities. Driving me crazy.

Is the first character in the Subject missing in *your* copy shown in
the Sent Items folder? Or is it missing from the recipient's copy?

Have you tried starting Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe")
which will NOT load any plug-ins for Outlook that have been enabled or
installed? Maybe you have a plug-in, like from Symantec (which is a
company name, not a product name), that is screwing up.
