First problems with 11.2.3

Hi,

after my initial enthusiasm about 11.2.3 the time has come to report first
problems:

1) Address Book and Entourage lost all contacts

This may have been my fault. Once I killed the MirrorAgent while logging
out. Afterwards all my contacts were gone in both applications. I am not
sure if the action is really connected to the result. It was however no big
deal since I have a daily backup and the contacts were easily restored using
Apple's Backup 3.

2) Spotlight support

Right after installing 11.2.3 Spotlight showed both: emails from Mail.app
and Entourage. After adding the path were Mail.app stores the Mail to my
"Privacy" tab, Spotlight could not find any mails. Here is what I already
tried:

- Un- and Rechecking "Include Entourage items in Spotlight search results."
- "Rebuild" button in the Entourage preferences.
- Un- and Rechecking "Mail" in the Spotlight preferences.

Between every try I gave my Mac an entire night to process. So far no
result.

Any ideas?

On #2, what path did you block for Mail.app? Entourage metadata is stored
in ~/Library/Caches/Metadata/Microsoft/Entourage.

If you uncheck "Mail" as a category in Spotlight results, this will also
hide Entourage items--both Mail.app and Entourage register themselves as
producing metadata for mail.

The post of Corentin showed me the answer ( Message-ID:

The mdimporter files were not active. In fact all the mdimporter files in
/Library/Spotlight were inactive. The active ones seem to be stored in
/System/Library/Spotlight.

The solution was however to copy the respective mdimporter's into
~/Library/Spotlight.
