first time printout of visio document is always erroneous

whenever I open visio, the first printout I attempt is wrong. Even though
the print preview looks fine, it prints only part of the page in way too big
a font, which causes much of the drawing not to be printed.
I've learned to get around the problem by printing just a single page of a
multi-page document, cancel the print at the printer, then make subsequent
print requests, which do not have the error.
anyway, I'd love to get an answer to this problem b/c it's time-consuming
and wasteful to deal with every time.

I now know that, first time user - i have same problem and would like an
answer - why doesnt microsofet provide an answer - their site is poor in
solving this proble.

Hi PAVU,

solved my problem. Apparently you have a couple of free problem solving
queries if you contact their problem desk. I fixed my problem by downloading
service pack 2 for visio - they seemed to know that some printers cannot cope
with visio and have now put out an update, hope this helps, bye
