First Time User Needs Help

Hi

I am new to Microsoft Project 2002. I am in a network running Windows
2000 server and will like to find the best resources to learn the software.
Any suggestions. Also, Can the software be integrated with Outlook so that
it can be managed from a central location and accessed by all in the network

Thanks

Hot Gal --

A couple of excellent resources to help you get started with Microsoft
Project 2002 and Project Server are:

1. The free Microsoft courseware on the software

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tr...nol/project/project2002/training/prj02trn.asp

2. An excellent book on Project Server

"Implementing Enterprise Portfolio Management with Microsoft Project Server
2002" by Gary Chefetz

The book can be ordered from Amazon.com.

Project 2002 and Project Server integrate with Outlook, but it is a one-way
integration only from Outlook to Project Server.

If you are using Project Professional 2002, Server Edition, that is
what the Project Web Access (PWA)is for. It is a web interface through
which all users can view the project schedule, as well as their own
timesheet. They can report time and submit it through the PWA to the
Project Manager for approval. All of the project plans (Enterprise
Projects) reside on a server, so that is a central location. But only
those with a Project license can access these plans. But if all of
your users have accounts on the server, then the PWA should work just
fine.
