Five days of changes disappeared!!!

I've been working on a document for several days. Each day, I've added
more, saved the document and backed it up. I've also sent it to myself
at work just in case.

This afternoon, I needed to make some finishing touches before
turning it in. Somehow, someway, all my changes for the last five days,
in the document, the backup, and the latest one I sent to myself (but
not the one before that) are GONE. Since I have a copy I sent to myself
from two days ago, I only lost the four hours of work yesterday, but it
would be nice to get that effort back. Could it be that the additional
material is somehow invisible? Thanks.

Where did you save that backup? Any chance what you really did was start on
it from an email and never change the temp folder where it was stored?

JoAnn,

That might have happened once, but not every time. Why not just one
night worth of changes, when I have versions I have emailed that contain
more that the latest version by about four pages worth?

Where were you saving your backup copies? Are you aware that when you open
an email attachment, it opens in a temp folder?

And the back up files on your zip disk are also gone?

I'm sorry. I don't understand that. You have your backup files but the
"content" is gone? What's in your backup file if it isn't content?
