Fix for recent Office 2003 update problems!!!

The forums are full of Office 2003 update failures, and I have stumbled onto
a fix (at least it worked for me :)

After much searching, I finally found the following article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884298 which contains instructions to modify
some registry values. I followed the steps exactly and was immediately able
to successfully install the troublesome updates. Hope this helps.

Hello Lyle,
Thank you so much for your advice. I have at last got around to doing the
fix you recommended and it worked for me also, after annoying me for several
weeks.
