nhy is it taking so long to fix this error that was introduced with xp sp2?
I can add sounds in your free outlook express program, but can't add them in

You appear to be under the mistaken impression that you're addressing
Microsoft employees. They don't usually read these newsgroups. We're
all users here.

I agree, though, that there appears to be no urgency at MS to replace
the controls that were zapped by the security updates. The KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;886299 was
posted in mid-October, and I hear that the beta testers knew about it
as early as August. Months later, there hasn't been a peep.
