If you're getting that weird margins error (Margins are outside
printable area)... it likes to set it to 2.67" randomly as the
"Fix"... Here's how to solve the problem:
1) Uninstall your HP printer driver (most likely one you downloaded
direct from HP)
2) Use Win XP to directly Add a Printer (can be done in Printers and
Faxes folder).
3) Select HP as the manufacturer and then for the driver, select the
one without anything after it's name. For example, if you have a HP
Color LaserJet 4500, you might see the following options:
* HP Color LaserJet 4500
* HP Color LaserJet 4500 PS
* HP C. LaserJet 4500 PS
* HP Color LaserJet 4500 PCL
* HP Color LaserJet 4500 PCL 5 (or 6)
You want the first one in that list. It'll solve your problems and
give you microsoft's super compatible XP driver. If you discover that
something is missing in the driver (like the duplexer), you can select
that by right-clicking the printer and choosing the properties option.
Hunt around from there!
Hope this helps.
