Is there a way to set maximum 30 characters in a cell?
E.g., when 30 characters were typed, it will not allow
more text be typed in that cell.

Hi

No. Absolutely nothing happens in Excel when you write things into cells. All such things
must take place after each entry is totally completed.

You can use Data Validation to do this. Select the cell, and choose
Validation from the Data menu. In the Allow list, choose Text Length, and
enter the minimum and maximum allowable lengths.
