Fixed cost on tasks

Hiya,

We use a lot of sub contractors and I'd like to set a fixed cost on some
tasks as opposed to an hourly / daily rate etc.

For example
We pay Mr. X $500 for building a wall no matter if it takes him 2 days or 2
weeks. Is the best way for this to create a material resource of $500 for
the task or can you do this with a people resource?

Hi Corne,
If you apply the cost table to the task sheet (View --> Table--> Cost) there
is a Fixed Cost field where you could put your $500.00 for the task. You can
also specify whether the fixed cost accrues at the Start, End, or prorated
through the task duration.
