After upgrading to Panther this morning my Outlook 2001 stopped
working. When i started to google, i realized that a number of users
were suffering from this issue.
After lots of reading, this is what i did to fix the issue.
1) In the System Prefs, Networking, TCP/IP i added my DNS servers IP
address.
2) Under the /System Folder/Preferences i deleted the previous
exchange pref files
3) Inside the /System Folder, i ran a chmod 777 Preferences
4) Nuked my prior outlook 2001 folder
5) Downloaded the Outlook 2001 .bin file from mactopia and expanded
it. Copied the Microsoft Outlook 2001 folder to my desktop
6) Went into the outlook files folder, double clicked on the outlook
preferences and set up my profile.
7) Clicked on MS outlook and whoa am back up.
Let me know if this works for anyone else.
Thanks,

Note: If you try to run outlook directly without step 6 i got an error
talking about outlook not being able to write to my file system due a
permission problem.
