Fixing corrupted installation

T

Office 2007 Pro (upgraded from Off XP) on Vista Ultimate.
Wanted to add components to the installation; tried through CP Programs &
Features. Clicking on Change, I get the message:
"This product installation has been corrupted. Run setup again from the
original installation source."
So I insert the Office Upgrade CD and start setup. It asks for the product
key, then stops because it can't find an upgradable product.
How to proceed?
Thanks.

I did insert the XP media and pointed Setup at the drive, but still no
upgradable version was recognized. Then I installed Word & Excel from XP, and
STILL setup fails

reinstalling Office 2007 w/o entering a product key might help. input the
upgrade key later on, after setup.

Tried that, and still the same result. I now have a service request in to
MS, and have received instructions on how to manually uninstall O2007 from
Vista, which I've done. But the re-install still fails due to failure to find
upgradable product, regardless if I point it at earlier version media or have
an earlier version actually installed.
Thanks for your responses, and Happy New Year!
