My boss started writing a report in which all the paragraphs are numbered.
Like most people who don't have a CLUE(!) how to use Word, he just started
typing using paragraph returns (no styles or anything!) with the numbering
turned on and hoped it would all turn out ok.
He started to get a little confused when paragraph 9 appeared after
paragraph 13 and shouted for help!
I wish I could have just said 'Oh yes, press that button and it'll all be
resolved'! However, I know Word numbering better than that!
I am sure this must be one of the most common Word problems in the business
world. And I'm wondering if anybody can offer any good advice about what to
do in the circumstances? Is is best just to take out all the numbering and
start again from scratch? Any tips would be gratefully received!
