There are many functions in Word 2000 which, we are often told, *must
never be used*. For example, the Autoformat As You Type system; the
"Automatically Update Styles" thing; the Bullets-and-Numbering button
on the toolbar; the Fast Saves feature, several other menu bar
choices; etc. etc. etc.
Has anyone written a macro or template which, when executed upon a
newly-installed version of Word 2000, disables all the "sick"
functions (even removing bad commands and buttons from the toolbars)
and sets up the application so that beginners can't mess it up? In
other words, a macro that converts Word 2000 into FixedWord 2000?
I'd like this because if I have to install Word on many users'
machines, it is a pain to go through the million Options dialog boxes
and click off all the crap for each installation. A macro would be
great.
Thank you very much,
