flag email being sent as important

Debi

I am sending an email that is urgent it be read right away. Is there a way
to mark an outgoing email as urgent, read at once? or something like that.

To flag an email being sent to a recipient as important...for Outlook 2003

In the message, click on the toolbar.
In the Flag to list, select the text you want, or type your own text, such
as Important.
In the Flag color list, click the color flag you want.
In the Due by boxes, select a date and time, if needed.
Click OK.

Tip To quickly display the Flag for Follow Up dialog box without opening
the message, select the message, and then press CTRL+SHIFT+G.

....by the way, if it's really urgent you should follow-up with a phone call.
Don't rely upon e-mail alone for urgent messages.

Hi,

I understand that by flagging an email, it would be sent to the "followup"
folder which is convenient and good. But I notice for the emails that i send
out, and if I flag it, it does not go to the "followup" folder, not even for
incoming emails with a flag. how can i do make this happen?

thanks for that.

i tried what you suggested. but what i want is different.

for example:

i write an email to Terence and right before i hit "send" i flag the email
red coz i want to followup to this email.

after i hit on send, the email would not appear on my "follow up" folder as
a flagged email. i would like that to happen, how so i make sure? i know the
mtore troublesome way is to go to sent folder and flag that specific email
again manually and this time, it will go to the follow up folder. but i would
like to know if there is a setting that allows it to automatically be sent to
follow up folder.
