NOTE: This is my first experience working with Flash in PowerPoint.
(1) I have a kiosk-style PPt file with a Flash movie that plays
automatically in the first slide. After playing, the Flash movie stays on
the last frame (which is great) until, either by mouse click or auto advance,
the second slide is displayed. Why does the first frame of the Flash movie
appear for a split second as the slide advance takes place--destroying the
continuity between that last frame of the movie on the first slide and the
mapped image of that last frame on the second slide?
(2) I have found that if I make an edit to the aforementioned PPt file and
run it in Slide Show mode from the first slide containing the Flash movie, on
subsequent viewings, the movie will only play a couple of seconds before it
hangs--requiring that the Flash movie be deleted, reinserted and any
necessary settings re-established to put everything back the way it was. My
workaround has been to save a .pps version every time I save a .ppt version
and only view the file in Slide Show mode from the .pps version. Any
suggestions in this regard?
Thanks,
Doug
