Flashing cells

Dublin Trainer

Our organisation has recently upgraded from Office 97 to XP, and some users have experienced this occasional problem with Excel: When they open Excel, the active cell is flashing. They are still able to move around the worksheet, but the active cell remains flashing.

Any ideas as to why this happens and what (if anything) we can do to stop it happening. Most of our users are on Citrix if that makes any difference

Thank you

This is because your Citrix administrators have
enabled "Speedscreen Latency - Local text echo" feature on
each Citrix server or alternatively on the Excel
application published on the Citrix server. It is meant
to help with user perception of keystroke delay, but it
may not help Excel based apps. Talk to your Citrix
administrator about switching off Excel only.
