Flickering Display while using MS Office 2003

While using Excel or Word everything looks fine, but as soon as you open
another window (lets say the format window) monitor starts flickering. As
soon as you close the window, flickering stops and everything goes back to
normal. So flickering only occurs when another window is open (format, print,
or any other)...Any ideas why this happen?

Maybe you need to install an updated display driver from your manufacturers
site, and NOT winupdate

I look for updates for my display drivers on the manufacturer site (ATI) but
no luck. I use WinUpdate to look for it too but no luck there either. So I'm
open to any suggestions...
