flight time database

Hello, I am pilot trying to create a database to keep track of various daily
flight information. I would like to be able to have multiple users who can
enter their info and retrieve it on their own. What I need to know is how to
set up the tables to accomodate these needs. The daily information that needs
to be recorded is; flight time, duty time, flight number, aircraft
identification, pilot in command name, copilot name plus a few others. I
would greatly appreciate any suggestions on how to go about setting up the
tables (access 2003).
Thanks for the help

Hi Brook,

Me pilot too.

if you are new to access it is hard to explain. I think you would need to
set up tables as follows:-

1. Flight Log

2. Pilots (In this you could include qualifications, rating and expiry of
medical, or when check ride is due, etc also include in this password
facility to log onto system.

If you don't know how to set up a table try writing it in EXcel and make
sure you format each field to the correct format. Remember don't include
calculations in your excel spreadsheet you will do this in access query.

Once you have your excel (remember to put in some sample data) then import
the excel file into access tables & then see what it looks like)

When this has been done ask more questions.

Hoped this helped!

Regards

ps happy landings
