flip camera video displays black screen and sound in Powerpoint?

I cannot get my video to show in powerpoint. I have tried everything I can
think of. I even downloaded a codec that the company told me to download. It
displays witht he media player, but when I hit play in powerpoint the picture
disapears and has a black screen with the sound. It also will not show up in
the movie editing program. Is there something about microsoft that will not
allow this?
