Float over text in XP

S

Sam

I have just switched to XP from 97.

In our word documents we used to paste our powerpoint
charts into word by clicking on edit, paste special, and
then taking off the tick on float over text. This option
is no longer available in XP and my charts keep floating -

What is the best way to ensure that my pictures sit inside
my tables in word without shifting?

Thank you

Click on the graphic. This will display the Picture toolbar. Click on the
Text Wrapping button (dog icon) and change the wrapping to "In Line with
Text." It is one of my chief annoyances with Word 2002 that although you can
change the default text wrapping for inserting and pasting graphics (and the
default is already inline), this doesn't affect Paste Special, and I
*always* want to paste inline.

Thanks - that works perfectly and my charts now sit inside
my tables perfectly. However when I paste the charts in
as pictures and click okay, they don't always appear. I
have to scroll down a page or up a page and then go back
to be able to see them. Is there anything I can do about
this?

I wish I knew. Perhaps someone else can help.
