Floating Shortcut Menus toolbar

When I right-click on the toolbars and go to Customize/Toolbars, I notice
that I get a floating Shortcut Menus (Text-Table-Draw-SlideShow) toolbar.
There is a Shortcut Menus option to be checkmarked on the Toolbars tab, which
is checked, yet I can't get this handy toolbar to stick open. I don't see
this Shortcut Menus on the View, Toolbars option. I'd like to use this. Any
suggestions?

(I've followed the rather lengthy discussion about shortcuts, to no avail) I
have a classroom, so setting up customized shortcuts with 6th graders seems a
bit laborious on 30 computers. I'm specifically looking for keyboard
shortcuts to custom animations and slide transitions, in addition to the
above issue.

Thanks for your un-ending wisdom. -Becky

The shortcut menus are context sensitive. Only when you right-click a
specific shape type these shortcuts menus come into play. You can use the
customize... option to add/remove items to the shortcut menus however the
customization will only appear when you right-click or when you are in the
customize toolbar mode.

I think I didn't explain myself well enough. This is not the regular
right-clicking menu with cut/copy/paste etc. when you click on an object. Let
me try again.

When I go to Tools, Customize, and then view the Toolbars tab, one of the
choices of toolbars is ShortCut Menus. At this same time, just underneath the
Customize window (move it over a bit) is a grey floating toolbar titled
Shortcut Menus. The options are Text/Table/Draw /Slideshow, each with their
own pull-down menus. This little toolbar shows up only when this Customize
window is open. Obviously if I un-check the Shortcut Menus item this toolbar
disappears. Is there a way to have it show up all the time? It is not on the
choices under View, Toolbars. I'd really like to solve this apparent mystery
to myself. Thanks!
