Select the cells you want to see and COPY.
Click where you want to see them and then right-click, Paste Special, and
click "Paste Link".
Excel will automatically write formulas to copy the selected cells to where
you want to see them.
If the cells you want to see are already at the top of the file, use the
Freeze Panes function. See the Excel Help topic "Freeze column headings for
easy scrolling" for instructions.
Hope this helps
Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I
would like to put a floating object, that is a mini-spreadsheet, with cell
formulas that reference data within the mini-spreadsheet only. This object
would be a destination for copied or dragged cells from a long list in the
main spread sheet. In this way I would not have to scroll back to the
calculating cells when I select a range in the main spread sheet that is far
below the position of the calculating cells.
