flowchart invisible in normal view, but visible in print preview

HI,

I made a pretty complex flowchart spanning a few pages (11x17 inches ledger
size after page setup). Suddenly since yesterday, when I open up the
document, I cant see the flowchart image in the normal view. What I see
instead is a line reading something like.."{SHAPE *MERGEFORMAT}" on all the
pages.

When I do print preview, I can see the whole flowchart on all pages just
fine, but when I go back to the normal mode, again I see that strange text.
This hopefully atleast proves that I have not lost all the work as I can see
it in print preview.

Can anybody please help me here? How can I make the flowchart/diagram
visible in normal view again?

Hi, This is me (mango) again.. I forgot to mention that..

I have already made sure that in Tools > Options > Views > 'drawings'
option is enabled/checked.

I am still experiencing the problem. Please help.
